Mary-Laure from Aurea created this cute logo for those of us lady bloggers who are lucky enough to have pups. I have three female pooches myself: Luna, Yma and Frida. I will post photos of all three soon. Dogs are the best.

Debate Drinking Game?
If McCain wins the election, I will be drinking myself into a stupor nightly. Anyway, tomorrow night if he does decide to debate Obama, I think it would be nice to get into the spirit by playing a drinking game.
I will take a swig:
Every time McCain mentions his military service.
Every time he says, "My friends".
Every time he says our economy is fundamentally strong.
Every time he defends Sarah Palin.
Every time he pumps his fists.
I could go on, but I have to work Saturday morning.

Bimbo Can't Dance
It was so painful to watch Kim Kardashian dance last night on Dancing With the Stars! She just continues to prove she is void of all talent.

Have Gorgeous Kids Much?
I'm sorry, but I just can't get over how beautiful this kid is! It's Presley Gerber, Cindy Crawford's son. Wow. If he's not modeling yet, he should be.

For All You Libras Out There...........
September 23 - October 22
It's the Scales which symbolize Libra, and just like that balancing mechanism wants to stay even, Librans want to be on an even keel. Think of the Scales of Justice and how they work at striking the right balance. Likewise, Librans are objective, just and want to do what's best for everyone. It's possible, though, that this penchant for fairness is for a different reason: Librans abhor conflict. The Scales study every possible angle in the hopes of achieving peace and harmony, so much so that others may see them as fickle and indecisive. If that's what it takes to avoid a confrontation, that's fine with the Scales. The Libra-born are keen strategists, organizing groups with poise and getting the job done (in keeping with the Cardinal Quality assigned to this Sign). Further, you can expect the Scales to be companionable, sociable folks.

Romeo Gigli Fall 2008
I discovered Romeo Gigli about 20 years ago and have always loved to look at his clothes. I only ever owned one piece ( a shirt) and I still have it even though it will probably never fit me again. His runway show is thoroughly entertaining. Even my kids watched it. A couple of the models look like they should be institutionalized, but at least they are having fun. I'd much rather watch clothes being modeled this way. I don't think it distracts at all.

Partners and Friends
I love this photo. These two seem so good together. I think the apparent quality of their marriage says a lot about Barack Obama's character.

Not many writers have that gift........the gift of being able to make others laugh out loud with their writing. The Bloggess is one of the gifted. Here's another one of my favorite posts.

I think Christy Turlington could be one of the most beautiful women of her generation. I once read that some fashion photographers have said that she has the most symmetrical face in the business. She never takes a bad picture. Have you noticed that?

This Girl Is a Real "See You Next Tuesday"
Why oh why is this woman given the opportunity to have a career in television?? She is vapid, emotionally unstable and lacking the talent necessary for the job she was unfortunately given.

I think I watch too much TV. Anyway, I am anxiously awaiting the third season of Heroes. There's some corny acting and so-so special effects, but the writing is pretty darn good. This is the kind of show that you pretty much have to watch from the first episode, or you will have no idea what is going on.
A few months ago, I discovered I could watch some Netflix stuff instantly on my computer. Probably everyone knew about this Netflix feature except me. That's how I watched three hours of Heroes last night.Well, now I can veg out in front of my monitor for hours on end. That's all I need.........

McCain Had Nerve Using Barracuda
I know.......This isn't Barracuda. But aren't these ladies the shit? I have been listening to them almost constantly for the past two weeks. Imagine my disgust when I heard one of their best songs blasted at the lame-ass RNC. Ann and Nancy Wilson were not pleased, I heard!
(Watch Nancy's cool pick-changing trick at 0:53.)

More Than a Mortgage Payment!
These are truly amazing. They're by Ann Demeulemeester. I won't even mention the price. I just like looking at them. I would've worn these back in my Chicago days. Well, I wouldn't have been able to afford them then either.

Duh.
She thinks the words "Under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance are not offensive because (And I quote) "If it was good enough for the founding fathers, it's good enough for me and I'll fight in defense of our Pledge of Allegiance."
The Pledge was written in 1892!
Ahem. "Under God" was not added to the Pledge until 1954!!
The following also amazes me (from Politico.com) :
In an interview just a month ago, she dissed the job, saying it didn't seem "productive."In fact, she said she didn't know what the vice president does.
Larry Kudlow of CNBC's "Kudlow & Co." asked her about the possibility of becoming McCain's ticket mate.
Palin replied: "As for that VP talk all the time, I'll tell you, I still can't answer that question until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the VP does every day? I'm used to being very productive and working real hard in an administration. We want to make sure that that VP slot would be a fruitful type of position, especially for Alaskans and for the things that we're trying to accomplish up here for the rest of the U.S., before I can even start addressing that question."
YIKES.
