If I wasn't broke, I would go crazy shopping on the Urban Outfitters Apartment section. These are some things I would most definitely purchase.

Jennifer Aniston is another celebrity that always looks good; in my opinion. She seems to stay away from patterns and anything too fussy. Whether on the street or the red carpet, her look is simple and elegant.

The kiddos go back to school in a few weeks. What am I going to do with all my extra time? I think I'll spend more time taking pictures, drawing, writing. I also need to mentally prepare for my surgery in October.

Eva Mendes has great style, I think. She always looks put-together and sexy. She wears the clothes....the clothes don't wear her.

In The Mood For Fall
I love the styling at Free People. They layer their clothes in unexpected ways that always seem to work - like putting a long-sleeved knit top under a camisole. I now have all sorts of ideas for my daughter's back-to-school outfits.
All the rich colors and textures from their latest catalog have me in the mood for fall fashion.

Mom's New Pups
These are my mom's new puppies, Puno and Cuzco. Aren't they adorable? They are only thirteen weeks old. My mom is Peruvian, so she named them after Peruvian towns. Puno is where my mom was born and raised. Cool names for two brothers.

I just saw this ad in the latest issue of Elle. You can't see enough detail in this image, but this bag is to die for.

This movie was simple, intimate and understated. That's why I liked it, I think. The perfect film to watch while relaxing on a Friday afternoon.

I just finished watching this British miniseries last night. I highly recommend it. The acting was great (especially David Oyelowo) and the writing a nice change of pace from that of American TV. I really appreciated the way the characters' personal lives were intertwined with the main plot.

Bitchin' Bentos
I have a new obsession that keeps me up for hours on the internet lately.....bento boxes!
I always make my kids their school lunches and I'm always amazed at how much those home-made lunches suck. I think this school year I will try to experiment with bento boxes as much as possible. I have been doing a lot of research about them and plan to go to a local Japanese store to see if I can find any supplies. These images are some of the best I found on Flickr. They amaze me.

These are just a few of the beauty products I can't live without. My favorite right now is the Frownies. Yes, they do work! I wear them overnight while sleeping. My husband told me once that I am the angriest sleeper. If I don't wear a Frownie to bed, I wake up with the worst frown lines! These little, sticky thingies make such a difference by freezing that area of the face all night. Much cheaper than Botox!

Happy Fourth of July everyone! We're just hangin' out at home relaxing. The kids are in the classy, inflatable pool I bought at Target last year and I'm in the family room filing two years worth of paperwork. Yes, that is kind of relaxing for me.
